New Open Call For Video Work- Exquisite Corpse

Open Call | Exquisite Corpse

Video Project

Online | in The Gallery | Year-Round

As part of our ‘On The Line’ project, 126 is breathing new life into the classic surrealist game exquisite corpse. We intend to create a composite collaborative work, comprised of 5 short successive video pieces. Each video will begin with the final frame of the preceeding video and should be an investigation into drawing.

Relevant points of departure might be (but are not limited to): –drawing methods

-the history of drawing

-looking at new drawing technologies

-the relevance of drawing in digital age.

These videos will be succesively released through the 126 youtube channel as well as being screened at the gallery as a mapped projection.

Commissions will be successive, with successful artists having STRICTLY 3 weeks to complete their piece. Please stipulate in your application whether you’d like to create your work in: APRIL | MAY | JUNE | JULY or AUGUST

Applications are welcomed by artists or collectives that work in any medium, but the final result must be a film piece of 2-5 minutes in length. There is no fee to apply, but applicants should be members of 126 Artist-Run Gallery. To renew your membership or become part of the 126 membership, click here.
