Annual Members’ show Open Call

metamorphosis with text

It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.

~C. S. Lewis

126 will be moving premises this month. Change presents us with both a challenge and an opportunity. In the impossibility of maintaining stasis, we are faced with the task of imagining our future within the formative horizons of our present and our past.

As 126 stands on the brink of change again, we invite submissions of works in any medium by artists within our membership for the Annual 126 members show, that explore the notion: ‘Metamorphosis’ as both a challenge a necessity.

The exhibition will take place from Friday June 24th – Sunday 3rd July.

This inaugural exhibition in our new space will celebrate our members, without whom we could not operate. We welcome new members at any time, and membership is open to anyone who wishes to support the work we do and avail of our exhibition and residency opportunities.
