126 is delighted to present ‘Irish Spring’, new work by German artist Claudia Olendrowicz.
The guest has the capacity of making hidden things visible – curating the “nothing” of others in order to make it become “something”. Hospitality, according to Derrida, should neither acquit a guilt, nor should it be an obligation for the host towards the guest. This unconditional law of hospitality would be a law without imperative, without orders and without obligation. in short, a law without a law.
Claudia Olendrowicz (1983) was born in Germany, received a degree in Fine Arts at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. She now lives and works in Berlin, Germany. She has participated in group exhibitions in Germany and Italy, and held a solo show at Meetfactory, Czech Republic in 2011. She has been invited for a research residency by the Kunstverein Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 2013.
